Finding ourselves in the grip of "the beast from the east" this week made me think of Robert Frosts' poem Dust of Snow.
Surprisingly small things can lift our spirits and help us through more difficult times. I think that random acts of kindness can not only brighten someone's day but also sometimes change their future.
Every day I try to notice and appreciate all the small things in life that will make my life happier. I try to enjoy these simple things in life and hope I have a spirit that is willing to change and therefore succeed.
Today my simple pleasure is to look forward to sipping ice cold Limoncello; straight as a digestif in a shot glass, or drunk long and chilled as a Limoncello Martini. Either way I can feel the warmth of the summer evening wrapping around me as I prepare to make my next batch ready for summer drinking.
My Pamplemousse Liqueur has been macerating for a few weeks now and is nearly ready to bottle.
If you would like to learn how to make these, or any other, delicious, mouthwatering and refreshing summer drinks contact me to book a workshop to suit you.
